Caitlin Pintavorn

I work on emerging tech and 0-to-1 bets at Stripe in the technical office of the President of Technology & Business. Previously, I spent four years as a venture investor at Paradigm.

These days, I spend many nights and weekends meeting founders at the bits-to-atoms frontier — materials, life sciences, robotics, and other parts of the world that still resist abstraction. I care disproportionately about how things are made well (a product, a cup of coffee, a beautifully decorated room) and aim to spend my time with people who do too.

As an angel, I typically write $10–50K checks, and am often a founder’s first wire. I help founders I work with find and close candidates, raise rounds, and navigate hard decisions. I’m drawn to people with unreasonable ambition, who bring about a fundamental goodness, and who care about craft. I especially love ideas that sound a little strange the first time you hear them.
